Visalia Medical Will Double Sized of Walk-In Clinic

Visalia Medical Clinic is doubling the size of its ‘Quick Care’ walk-in clinic this summer says CFO Russ Desch.”We have plenty of demand from both our Visalia Medical patients and outside patients for urgent care type service that does not require a long wait or appointment.”

The clinic is also remodeling its lobby to to accommodate patient flow he says.

“Visalia has a shortage of primary care physicians ” notes Desch and a clinic setting is a lot more cost effect and better than getting care at the hospital ER.”

Desch says Kaweah Delta herself is building several new urgent care centers in Visalia as well ”to take the pressure off of their ER.”

Under the new health care law getting regular care through a primary physician in private office or clinic setting will be encouraged.

“We should be open in fall when the sniffles and colds become a problem once again.”

The remodeling work is valued at $560,000.
