Screen Shot 2019-01-07 at 7.04.51 AMIn the Sierra ski resort China Peak reports “ It stopped snowing this morning but not until another 12-16″ of snow fell overnight, giving us a two day total of new snow, 28-40″. Skies are clear this morning with not much if any snow expected today. Highway 168 is open, chains or 4WD will be required this morning and then probably lifted as the day progresses.

Meanwhile, blizzard conditions were reported down near Mammoth, CA where CALTRANS has closed Hwy 395 from June Lake to Mammoth.

High winds reported Monday in the Sierra with predictions today of over 100mph around Mt Whitney and the upper crest of the Sierra.

Along the Central Coast the three day total as of this AM from the storms is around 3 inches of precipitation with more today.
