VA clinic proposed in Tulare

Screen Shot 2021-12-09 at 5.48.35 AMAn investment group is proposing to build a new 20,000sf Veteran’s Affairs medical clinic near the outlet mall at the corner of Retherford and Corvina. The project is being proposed by CPA Tom Gaebe of Visalia. The project will get a preliminary hearing at the city site-plan review meeting December 8. The new proposed clinic is far larger than the current VA facility. The federal agency has been seeking a larger facility expected to add more counseling services to the care offered in Tulare County.

The site-plan is being proposed on land owned by the Hillman family believed to be part of the investment group looking to keep the clinic in Tulare. Visalia had entertained possible locations after Tulare hospital decided not to lease their buildings including their Evolutions gym to the VA.

The city has said they would’ve quickly to approve a project in Tulare.The clinic serves Veterans all over Tulare and Kings counties.
