Now Tulare Co Supervisors Will Throw in Towel Too
As part of the widening of Hwy 198 between Hanford and Visalia, now complete – CalTrans has offered both Tulare and Kings counties a 22 ft wide swath of land the public already owns for a future bike path. But since Kings County has refused to accept the portion that is in their county – Tulare County Supervisors are now poised to reject it as well this coming week. The land being discussed Aug 27 is on the south side of 198 between the county line at Rd 44 to Road 68. That’s not too far from Plaza Park in West Visalia.
A county report says Cal Trans will vacate some 10 miles of land to adjacent property owners.
If they wont keep it for a bike path – save it for the Hyperloop?
