Big drop in hospitalized patients
In Tulare County the number of patients hospitalized with Covid-19 at Kaweah Delta hospital in Visalia continues to fall – to 18 today.It was well over 100 this time 2 months ago (see chart).
In Kings County, Supervisor Valle stated that he has been reviewing the vaccination data for Kings County and reported that 55% of vaccinated persons in Kings County are women and 41% of the vaccines have been to Latinos. He thanked Jose Ramirez for his work to get the information out there to the Latino community to get vaccinated . County figures show 59% of COVID positive cases in Kings County are Hispanic
Meanwhile a shrinking percentage of Americans are expressing reluctance to get a Covid-19 vaccine, a positive sign for the efforts to get shots in the arms of enough people to reach herd immunity. A U.S. Census Bureau survey found about 17% of adults said they would either definitely or probably not get vaccinated, down from 22% in January.
