Bank of America Will Close Wasco & Fowler Branches
Bank of America continues to close branches across the US including in the Central Valley. The nation’s number 2 bank will close their free standing branches in the towns of Fowler and Wasco in October. Nationwide the bank has 4789 branches, down from 5023 a year ago.They had 6000 locations in early 2010. The number of employees are down to 216700 from 233,200 a year ago.
The company says there is less of a need for freestanding bank branches in the digital age.
Sequoia Park June Visitation Up 8 Percent
NPS reports Sequoia National Park had 443,145 recreational visits in June 2015 – up almost 8% from June 2014.Overnight stays at Wuksachi Lodge were up 7.9%.There was a 33% jump in backcountry stays.
