Avenal/Corcoran Courts To Close
Superior Court of Kings County will be closing the Avenal and Corcoran courts on December 18, 2015 and moving all business to the Hanford Courthouse. There is a notice for limited hours during the holidays between December 21, 2015 and January 1, 2016. The public can comment until November 30, 2015
Kings County Sells Acreage To Adventists Health
The Kings County Board of Supervisors and Adventist Medical Center have negotiated the sale/purchase of 7.75 acres of County
-owned property no longer needed for County business.
The property is located south of Lacey Boulevard in Hanford identified as APN:01-060-050.The purchase price is $2,220,000.The matter was finalized October 28.
Asked what plan the hospital has for the property a spokesperson says they are still determining its use but that it would be some sort of “community health project”.The property is open land across 7th Street from the hospital.
