The unemployment rate in the San Luis Obispo County was 3.1 percent in December 2017, up from a revised 2.9 percent in November 2017, and below the year-ago estimate of 3.9 percent. This compares with an unadjusted unemployment rate of 4.2 percent for California and 3.9 percent for the nation during the same period.
