California is set to receive more wet weather as we move into April with the focus on Central California slated to get hit with four storms over the next two weeks. Taking a look at Shasta Dam she now holds over 4,000,000 acre feet and is 89% full and 115% of average. So far this year the key reservoir has received 58 inches of rain, on track to meet last year’s 76 inches for the water year. Oroville is also above average.
A look at the maps below show rain in the next week all over California with 3 inches or so in Southern California, and in the Central Sierra. The Climate Prediction Center map shows the southern Sierra getting a good dose of precipitation in the next week.
