Big Plans at NAS Lemoore

NAS Lemoore base public information officer Roman Benitez told Kings Association of Governments (KCAG) at their meeting  last month that he assisted in the planning for the arrival of the F-35 jets to the base. Since then, over $800,000,000 of new construction has been planned for the operations side, through 2030. The airfield will grow to the north, with most of the growth being in the Navy boundaries. A north entrance to the airbase is being explored. This would require a four lane surface road. The 2014 master plan called for a four lane above ground interchange from SR 198 to the base.
