Screen Shot 2020-04-01 at 7.49.22 AMTo help ensure the health and safety of guests and employees and limit the spread of COVID-19, Delaware North says in a March 25 statement that they have been forced to close “nearly every one of Delaware North’s more than 200 operating locations in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia – including sports and entertainment venues, restaurants, casinos, and parks. Our airport locations are continuing to operate, but only at a greatly reduced scale.”  The closure impacts operations in Sequoia and Kings Canyon.

Delaware North has been providing food and beverage, retail, as well as lodging at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks since 2014. In Kings Canyon, Delaware North operates Cedar Grove Lodge, Grant Grove Cabins and the John Muir Lodge, as well as the LEED-certified Grant Grove Restaurant.

In Sequoia National Park, the AAA three-diamond Wuksachi Lodge offers a full-service restaurant, retail shop and special event facilities, while the Bearpaw High Sierra Camp offers a unique way for outdoor adventurers to experience the High Sierra.

Employees on leave will receive one week of pay, eight weeks of medical benefits.
