Adding clinics in Earlimart and Tulare

Screen Shot 2019-05-01 at 1.09.19 PMHaving leased Tulare District Hospital recently, Adventist Health is  looking to buy the TDH-owned Earlimart clinic at 398 S. Church Street in Earlimart, CA. The purchase would expand the non- profit health care group’s reach into the Central Valley where it now sports over 60 plus clinics and urgent care sites in Kings,Tulare, Fresno and Madera counties.

Now Adventist Health has filed plans to build a new medical clinic on the north end of Tulare on Hillman, north of Corvina. Adventist now manages the Tulare hospital and is expected to roll out more primary care clinics in the region.

In Tulare County there are also 2 Adventist clinics in Dinuba and one in Orosi as well as nearby Orange Cove and Reedley. Also Kingsburg where they already operate the hospital – they are also in the process of adding a new clinic.

In Kings County,Adventists health care facilities dominate the scene with clinics in Avenal, Corcoran and several in Hanford besides, of course, the hospital.

With their new presence in Tulare, and now Earlimart, earlier this year Delano Regional Medical Center signed an agreement to join Adventist Health, though the deal still requires approval from the FTC and the California attorney general.

“After careful review, Delano selected Adventist Health because its commitment to agricultural communities and its approach to providing care best aligned with Delano’s mission and direction,” said Bahram Ghaffari, hospital president.

The Adventist Central Valley Network is part of Adventist Health — a faith-based, nonprofit integrated health system serving more than 75 communities on the West Coast and Hawaii. The organization has more than 24,600 employees, 5,000 medical staff physicians and 3,700 volunteers. Founded on Seventh-day Adventist heritage and values, Adventist Health provides care in 19 hospitals, more than 280 clinics (hospital-based, rural health and physician clinics), 13 home care agencies, seven hospice agencies and four joint-venture retirement centers.
