2019 Tulare Co property tax roll jumps 5.1%

Kings County up by 6%

The Tulare County Assessor Roland P. Hill published the 2019 Property Tax Roll this week noting that the roll for 2019/2020  has increased 5.117% higher than last year.

The net total value for the fiscal year is $36.5 billion, up from $34.7 billion the year before.

Screen Shot 2019-07-11 at 7.27.23 AMBy city, property value increased most percentage-wise in Woodlake where it climbed 8.46% from $226 million to $245 million before any exemptions. The city has experienced a building boom related to cannabis facility construction.

Visalia’s property value was up 5.2% to $11.5 billion,Tulare was 5.4% higher and Porterville climbed  5.8%.Exeter was 5.5% higher and Farmersville climbed 4.2%.

In nearby Kings County the net assessment roll for Kings County increased by just over 6% adding $648 million over last year’s assessed values. This brings the net assessment roll value to over $11.3 billion says the assessors office.

The assessment roll lists the individual values of properties across the county and is used to determine the amount of property taxes that property owners must pay.
