Tulare votes 2 incumbents out in council election – results not final
UPDATE: Carlton Jones now just 9 votes behind as of Nov. 6
Tulare voters have voted to replace two incumbents on the Tulare city council in returns that are to yet final. Mayor Jose Sigala will return garnering 60% of the vote. Current council member Carlton Jones is behind Steve Harrell by around 40 votes at press time. Meanwhile council member Greg Nunley will not be returning and will be replaced by Patrick Isherwood who garnered around 39% of the vote in a crowded field. With votes likely to be certified by the county in early December Tulare will seat the new council in December.
Tulare County presidential vote favored Trump by 53%
Tulare County voted in favor of Republican Donald Trump by 53% vs 45% for Democrat Joe Biden. The vote may be a loss for Democrats but the percentage is an improved over the past two presidential elections when the Demo candidate got 41% of the vote vs 56% for GOP candidates.
Here is a map of how California counties voted this November.Statewide it was 65% for Biden and 33% for Trump.

San Luis Obispo vote favored Biden by 60%
It was a blue wave in San Luis Obispo this month as voters here supported Joe Biden over Donald Trump by 60% to 38%.
That is a contrast to the last two presidential vote years – 2016 and 2012. Those years saw voters in SLO County supporting the Democrat 49.7% to 41.6% in 2016 and 48.8% Democrat to 47.7% Republican in 2012 in a squeaker.
