SLO Jobless Rate Falls To 3 Percent

The unemployment rate in the San Luis Obispo County was 3.0 percent in May 2017, down from a revised

3.2 percent in April 2017, and below the year-ago estimate of 3.7 percent. This compares with an

unadjusted unemployment rate of 4.2 percent for California and 4.1 percent for the nation during the same

period.

EDD figures show a 17.3% drop in unemployment year over year. Even farm jobs improved in May both monthly and year over year. Non-farm jobs are up 1000 from just a month before, Construction jobs were up 600 year, over year.
