SLO Jobless Rate Drops To 4.4 Percent
San Luis Obispo County’s jobless rate fell from 4.5% in December to 4.4% in January and from 5.3% in January 2015. The number of jobless people in the county was 6300 compared to 7700 in January 2015. The county saw a loss of 400 farm jobs over the year but nonfarm jobs climbed 400.
Weekend Storms Bringing Much Needed Rain
NWS is predicting 3.30 inches of rain through Monday night in the SLO County area with more on the way next weekend (see graphic).
Those Irish Hills look to get greener.Forecaster John Lindsey says “During this period, heavy snow is expected across the Sierra Nevada above 4,500 feet. In fact, as much as 60+ inches of snow is expected across the Sierra Nevada this weekend into Monday.”
