November 17,2015-
Bone dry Tulare County mountains are getting a nice dose of wetness early this winter with rain across much of the county at some 200% of average (see purple on map).
Particularly welcome is the accumulation of snow in the sierra with more than 3 inches of water content now a month and one half into the new water year – see second map with orange in eastern Tulare County.
And there is more coming including likely a wet Thanksgiving forecasters say.
Here is the snowfall forecast for the next 10 days, showing Tulare County getting the best build-up of snow in the state between now and the end of the month – 10 to 12 inches.
