CalTrans Getting New SLO Office On Higuera
The Department of General Services collaborated with Caltrans to relocate an existing office space to a new office of approximately 32,000 square feet at 2885 S. Higuera St. The new leased space is currently under construction. Expected occupancy is this summer.
Hotel Plan In Shell Beach
A new 37-room hotel has applied to the City of Pismo Beach to build on the site of a former gas station on Shell Beach Rd just east fo Spyglass. Pismo Beach is processing the permit.
SLO’s Embassy Suites Getting Makeover
According to a building permit Embassy Suites hotel will be renovating all its 195 rooms over the next few months.
Construction Starts on Airport Area Brewery
Specialty Construction is working on a shell building as well as tenant improvements for the new SLO Brew manufacturing facility – SLO BREW ROCK- at 855 Aerovista Ln near the airport. The city issued a permit for $1.58 million to do the work. Scheduled to open in early 2016, SLO Brew Rock, is the SLO Brew’s new brew facility with over 10,000 square feet of floor space that will feature a tasting room, beer garden, and event space. Located off Broad Street near the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport, this new brewery will expand SLO Brew’s production capacity. Featuring a 35-barrel brewing system with a goal of producing 2,500 to 3,000 barrels by the end of 2016, and 5,000 barrels in 2017.
