The unemployment rate in San Luis Obispo County fell to 4.6% in March 2015, the lowest March number since 2008 – before the recession. It was 5% in February and 6.1% a year ago.
The number of unemployed in the county was 6600 ,a 22% improvement over a year go when there were 8500 unemployed people.
Nonfarm jobs increased by 2.6% from a year ago according to the EDD . Construction jobs are up 7.8 % from a year ago and hospitality jobs are up 5.6%.
