Weather Watch: Northern California To Get First Fall Sprinkles

Southern Arizona/New Mexico To Get Pounded

Screen Shot 2014-09-16 at 12.40.22 PMWeather notables this week as the first fall pattern weather front comes into northern California this Thursday (see map). PGE forecaster John Lindsey says a few sprinkles could fall as far south as Monterey. Not much – but a start.

Meanwhile the US southwest in southern Arizona and New Mexico are likely to be pounded with hard rain spilling over from Hurricane Odile over the next week with as much as 9 inches falling in some places according to this NOAA map of rain accumulation over 7 days.
