S&P growth past four years 95 percent

How’s that economy? The Standard and Poor’s 500, or simply the S&P 500 is a stock market index tracking the stock performance of 500 of the largest companies listed on stock exchanges in the United States. About 70 million Americans invest in their employee based 401K plans and often follow the S&P.
So when the S&P index grows over 95 percent in the past four years, there is reason to cheer as everyday Americans see their personal wealth compound and grow. The index reached a 52 week high Friday.
