Dueling forecasts suggest Baja storm could barrel into California – or not

GFS weather models are offering different views of pathways of a Baja storm heading north next week that could barrel right into the heart of California or veer east or west as they traditionally do.Two models posted August 16 suggest it could head right over LA and move all the way into Northern California.One forecaster says just 2 tropical storms have visited CA since 1900. “This is a very rare event should this happen.” The Sierra could see several inches.Here is the NOAA precip map for the later part of the month.
