The California Association of Realtors reports this month that for the first eight months of 2022, sales in San Luis Obispo County continued to drop the sharpest statewide at -28.9 percent, while Yuba (17.7 percent) continued to post the best sales performance of all counties compared to last year.
In August the median sales price of an existing home in San Luis Obispo was $868,500 compared to $895,500 in July, but up from August 2021 when the median price was $770,000.
Home sales in SLO County in August continued the downward trend falling 29.1% from a year earlier while next door Santa Barbara County sales declined 34% year over year.
