Between primary season 2020 and the same time in 2022, San Luis Obispo County recorded that Democrat registration increased by 5503 voters while the GOP added 1345 new voters, better than a three to one increase. Declined to State over the same period actually fell by 2437.
In 2020 there were 64,100 Democrats and 61,587 Republicans. Two years later, in April 2022 there are 69,663 Dems and 62,931 Republicans. There are now 36,224 declined to state voters.
