Kaweah Delta’s COVID-19 caseload continues to drop following a pattern seen around the country. Patients hospitalized with the virus now number 109 at the Visalia hospital -down from a high of 169 as of January 5. The number of KD employees with Covid is down by half from 231 around Christmas to 117 now.
New cases of COVID in California are also falling according to state figures- dropping about 34% over 2 weeks.Statewide new positive case as of January 20 were around 20,000 compared to near 53,000 on January 8. New cases in Tulare County were almost 1300 on 12/15 and now number 225 as of 01/22.
