US Cold Storage will expand in Tulare says plant manager Brian Ford. “We will addd about 200,000 square feet of dry and cold storage space” at their facility at 810 E. Continental Ave. Tulare this year.”We hope to new open by October.”
Ford says growth in the dairy industry in Tulare is the key factor in the expansion including in ice cream where more product is being exported, he says.Tulare is home to major dairy companies including Land O Lakes, Saputo and Nestle.
The company already has 7.3 million cubic feet feet of space , some down to minus 5 degrees F.
Ford says the additional space will add about 20 jobs.
