Construction Monitor figures show year-to-date home building is up vs 2018 in both Kings and Tulare Counties but down in Fresno County.
Kings County construction of single family homes jumped from 201 homes through September 23, 2018 to 302 through the same date this year.
In Tulare County the same comparison shows 897 homes permitted through September 23, 2018 vs 1012 as of the same date in 2019.
Meanwhile in Fresno County home building has slowed from 1986 permits to 1705 units through this year so far.
Valley-wide Lennar was the top homebuilder both in 2018 with a YTD number of 613 units so far this year’s 501 as of this date in 2018.
