Visalia Job Fair Set For January 8
California Dairies will be hosting a job fair Tuesday January 8 at their plant at 2000 Plaza Dr sponsored by the Visalia EDC. The event will be from 8 AM to 11 AM. Companies looking to expand in town include the following:
• Hilti Inc. has completed yet another expansion in the Visalia Industrial Park, making the Visalia operation now the largest Hilti distribution center in the United States.
“Visalia has been good to the company,” said regional manager Robert Rodriguez. “Employees in Visalia have a strong ethic and are not afraid of hard work.”
• Golden State Overnight recently opened a new hub in Visalia – the 30th in California and the largest yet which allows the company to provide even more efficient priority, ground and freight services throughout the west. With nearly 63,000 square feet of space, the Visalia distribution hub features 47 dock doors, allowing linehaul trucks to be loaded more quickly.
- United Parcel Service is expanding in Visalia. The new distribution hub is projected to be a 425,000-square-foot facility, with an additional 300 jobs. The site is located at the northeast corner of Plaza Drive and Riggin Avenue, near VF, VWR and Jo Ann Stores distribution centers, and conveniently located near Highway 198 and Highway 99. The Visalia location allows one-day access to much of the western U.S.
