Northern California is likely to get the first significant pulse of rain this Thursday as a storm out of the Northwest makes its way into the state dropping rain as far south as Monterey and bringing the first snow to the Sierra.
Rain totals September 22 through September 29 could reach 3 inches in the far northern part of the Golden State. (See map)
