
California rainfall totals have varied widely in the state for the past 30 days.Beneficial rain has soaked Northern California helping to fill the state’s big reservoirs that help feed the more arid part of the state. Those totals exceed 200% in some areas.
Meanwhile in the Sierra2thesea reading area rainfall totals are below normal with Tulare County at around 75%( orange on map) and Kern below that( red). Still the storm door appears to be open for the rest of December with snowpack expected to build in the Central Valley portions of the Sierra.
San Luis Obispo County appears to be mostly ahead of normal.
