Both warm tropical moisture and a descending cold front from the north could converge on California over the next week say forecasters.
NWS Hanford shows a pincer movement from both systems with the cold front coming in next weekend.
NOAA’s 7-Day Precip Accumulation shows parts of the state getting more than a inch of rain accumulated by next Monday and the whole state getting wet.
Also the Climate Prediction Center’s Experimental Outlook Precip Probability calls for above average chances for rain across the southwest over the next 3-4 weeks – hopefully beginning of the El Nino pattern we are all waiting for.
