The project will be the subject for a site-plan-review meeting Wednesday December 6.

According to city planner Jason Huckleberry the Visalia engineering firm 4 Creeks Global has filed the plan to build a two-story, 31,000sf office on about 2 1/2 acres on Neeley, off Plaza and Hwy 198.

The new office would have parking for 124 cars and front Hwy 198.

Company Marketing VP Sue Hart, based in Wisconsin, says Valley Agricultural Software makes software programs primarily for the dairy industry. The firm was founded in 1982 and is owned by Netherlands-based Koepon Holding.

“We are looking to expand and relocate from Tulare“ says Hart,“but our plans are still preliminary.”  She says about 80 employees work at the Tulare office on K Street now.

According to the company their main program, DairyCOMP 305 is the market leading dairy management software program in North America. Complementary programs such as Feedwatch, Pocket Cow Card and Parlour Watch are growing rapidly, they say.

With feed cost accounting for greater than 60% of the cost of producing milk one VAS software program monitors feed use, sales, purchasing, animal intakes and cost.

The firm markets its programs internationally as well as in the US.

“Valley Agricultural Software has a solid position in Canada as well, and is presently building a strong position in Germany, China and Mexico where the program is translated into respective languages. Valley Agricultural Software represents a group of highly specialized and trained people whose technological resources help producers operate their progressive dairy operations profitably.”

VAS’s goal – lead the industry with superior software, services, systems and information that enhance the profitability of the producer.
